NEW DELHI: With the CLAT 2024 exam date closing in, it is time for candidates to cover all the bases, and prepare for that final home stretch. The countdown for the exam has begun and the final days of preparation are very important in deciding if candidates have that prestigious NLU seat in their fate.

CLAT is without a doubt the biggest law entrance exam in India. Every year, approximately 60,000 students appear for the exam but less than ten percent get a seat in NLUs. Here is a comprehensive guide on last-minute preparation tips for the CLAT 2024 exam.

Revision is the Key

This has been said before, and it still stays the same, revision is the key to exam success. During the last phase of preparation candidates must stay away from learning new topics. Their only focus must be revision of topics that they have already studied. Rajneesh Singh, founder, and chief mentor, of CLAT Essentials also says, “This is the most important task to be undertaken these days. Focus more on revising already covered GK materials instead of taking up new ones. In 2023, almost all the passages of Legal, English and logical reasoning were based on current affairs.”

Don’t Lose Your Focus

Now it is an easy thing to say to stay focused, but candidates find it hard to keep their calm during the end moments. Students preparing for the exam must keep their calm during all moments and not panic. It is important that candidates maintain a healthy lifestyle and keep a positive mindset.

Develop your exam-taking Strategy

Students before going to the exam hall must have a clear and concise strategy that they are going to adopt while solving the paper. Candidates must have this figured out what section they are going to take first, which questions require how much time, how to solve difficult questions etc.

Don’t take too many Mocks

Attempting mock tests is a good thing, but taking too many mock tests can sometimes deter the confidence of students. Mock tests are a good way of testing your preparations before D-day, however, candidates should stop taking multiple mock tests after securing a good score. Talking about the same, Singh says, “In this span of time, too many CLAT mocks can be dangerous. In the last week, one should not take many mocks. These two weeks should be used for taking many section tests and analysing the questions to enhance the skills.”

CLAT 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

  • Candidates will be allowed entry inside the exam hall from 1 pm.
