Try NowThe Consortium of National Law Universities has commenced the registrations for the Common Law Admission Test 2026 (CLAT) today at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The application form for admission to LLB and LLM programmes at NLUs and other law colleges will be available till October 31, 2025.

The consortium will conduct the pen and paper-based CLAT 2026 on December 7 in a single shift from 2 pm to 4 pm.
According to the eligibility criteria, candidates seeking admission to LLB courses through CLAT 2026 must have at least 45% in their class 12 to be eligible to appear for the entrance test.
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories need a minimum of 40% marks in class 12 to apply for the UG programmes through CLAT 2026.
For admission to LLM courses, candidates must possess a UG degree in LLB with at least 50% marks. For SC, ST and PwD candidates, the minimum marks requirement is 45% for PG admissions through CLAT 2026.

CLAT 2026 registration process
Candidates can check the points given below to apply for the admission test for admission to UG, PG admissions for LLB, and LLM programmes.
- Official Website: Candidates can apply for the CLAT 2026 at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
- Documents Required: Front facing passport size photograph, signature of candidate, category certificate if applicable. All documents or certificates should be uploaded in pdf format only.
- Application Fee: For general candidates, application fee is Rs 4,000. SC, ST, Below Poverty Line (BPL), and PwD candidates need to pay Rs 3,500 as registration charges.
- Mode of Payment: Through online only such as UPI, net banking, among other options.
Candidates looking forward to sit in the CLAT 2026 for admission to LLB and LLM programmes have an opportunity to access the previous years’ question papers.
The cost to download the CLAT previous years’ question paper is Rs 500.
