There are a total of five subjects in CLAT 2024. The list of CLAT subjects along with weightage has been given below:
English Language: 22 - 26 questions, or roughly 20% of the paper
Legal Reasoning: 28 - 32 questions, or roughly 25% of the paper
Current Affairs, including General Knowledge: 28 -32 questions, or roughly 25% of the paper
Logical Reasoning: 22 -26 questions, or roughly 20% of the paper
Quantitative Techniques: 10 -14 questions, or roughly 10% of the paper
Certain items are prohibited to be carried inside the CLAT 2024 exam hall. These include digital gadgets such as smartphones or digital watches. Calculators are also not allowed in the exam. If the candidate is found to be using any of the prohibited items, then it can lead to disqualification of the candidate.
Candidates appearing for the entrance exam must be aware of the marking scheme. CLAT UG 2024 will have a total of 120 questions carrying one mark each. Candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer. No marks will be awarded for unattempted questions. However, there is a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each incorrect response.
The reporting time for the exam would be printed on the CLAT 2024 admit card. Candidates arriving beyond the stipulated reporting time at the exam centre would not be allowed to appear for the exam.
