The Consortium of NLUs said a record 97.03% of the candidates registered for the CLAT 2024 Undergraduate test, and 93.92% of the candidates registered for the CLAT 2024 Postgraduate test appeared in the exam. The candidates will be able to raise objections against the CLAT 2024 provisional answer key between 9 am on Monday and 9 am on Tuesday.
CLAT 2024 marking scheme
The CLAT UG 2024 had 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs) carrying one mark each. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response. Experts said against everyone’s expectations CLAT 2024 paper was easy to moderate and around 105 is a good number of attempts. Candidates getting more than 90 marks is a good score for admission into top 3 NLUs, they added.
In previous CLAT 2024 exams, the cut off for top NLUs such as NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad and WBNUJS Kolkata has been around 66% i.e. a score of 100-110 out of 150.
Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 1,000 for each objection raised. If the objection is found to be valid and sustained, the fee will be refunded/ remitted to the same account from which it was paid. No requests for deposit of the amount in any other account will be entertained. The exam authority said objections received over email, support tickets on the website or phone calls will not be entertained.

Candidates can follow these process to raise objections against CLAT answer key 2024 is given below.
- Login to the CLAT 2024 account through the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2024
- Click on ‘submit objections’ option
- Choose the type of objection - about the question or about the answer key
- Provide the objection details
- Submit the objection.
