The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has issued the first allotment list for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 counselling today, May 26, 2025. Candidates who participate in the CLAT UG counselling can check the seat allotment list through the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

As per the official notice issued earlier, candidates will be considered only for those NLUs that they have included in their preference list. “If a candidate has chosen only fifteen preferences, then he/she will be considered only for allotment in those fifteen preferences and not to any other NLUs, even if vacancies are available in other NLUs, though he or she might be otherwise entitled to by the merit list,” the official notice said.
The CUET UG counselling 2025 will take place in three rounds. Candidates whose names appear in the CLAT UG first allotment list can exercise the ‘Freeze’, ‘Float’, or ‘Exit’ options as per their admission preference and pay the confirmation fee by May 30.

In order to ‘Freeze’ their seat in the first, second, third round of counselling, the candidates pay the non-refundable confirmation fee of Rs 20,000. The second allotment list for CLAT UG 2025 will be published on June 4. The payment of the confirmation fee and admission process by the NLUs for candidates in the second allotment list will be conducted from June 4 to June 9, 2025.
