CMAT 2021: Percentile cutoff calculation
The NTA will determine the CMAT percentile out of 400 marks based on the options exercised by candidates. Whether a candidate has opted for the fifth section or not, namely ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship’, the final CMAT percentile cutoff is calculated out of 400 marks while the last section is to remain as the qualifying one.
Formula to calculate CMAT 2021 percentile
Percentile P = 100 x Number of candidates appeared in the examination with raw marks equal to or less than the candidate/ Total number of candidates appeared.
For example, if about 10,000 candidates appeared in
CMAT
and a candidate scored the highest marks (350/400). Since they have scored the highest in the exam, their rank will be number 1 and the CMAT percentile score will be: 100 x 9999/10,000= 99.99
CMAT rank can also be calculated with the below-given formula:
10,000 - 1/10,000 x 100 = 99.99.
CMAT Score vs Percentile 2021: Expected Range
