• Being in possession of any item or article which has been prohibited or can be used for unfair practices including any stationery item, communication device, accessories, eatable items, ornaments or any other material or information relevant or not relevant to the exam in the paper concerned
• Using someone to write exam (impersonation) or preparing material for copying

• Creating obstacles in smooth and fair conduct of examination
• Any other malpractices declared as unfair means by the NTA.

• 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates
• 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List*

• Persons with Disability (PwD) with 40% or more disability

CMAT 2023 exam was conducted on May 4 in two shifts; the first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

NTA has no role in counselling for admission to the management programmes through CMAT 2023. Candidates will have to apply separately to the desired participating institutions with their CMAT score 2023. Thereafter, each college will release their respective CMAT cut-off which a candidate should meet to get qualified for admission. Once qualified, the candidate will have to comply with the selection procedure of that particular institution, which may comprise of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The final selection of the candidate will be based on the candidate's performance in GD and PI.

CMAT 2023 qualified candidates will have to comply with the selection procedure of the particular institution they intend to take admission. The selection process may comprise of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The final selection of the candidate will be based on the candidate's performance in GD and PI.

The record of the entrance test will be preserved upto 90 days from the date of declaration of CMAT 2023 result.

• Student having the same CMAT 2023 score shall be listed in chronological (ascending) order as per their date of birth
• Candidates having the same CMAT score would be given the same merit, and the merit number would be increased by the same number i.e. if there are two candidates at merit 2, merit 3 would not be awarded to the next candidate but merit 4 would be given

The formula used for calculating CMAT percentile is as follows: 

P = 100 x (No of candidates appeared with raw marks or equal to less than candidate/ Total number of candidates appeared in CMAT 2022 exam) Here, P stands for the percentile.

• Each question carries 4 marks.
• For each correct response, candidate will get 4 marks.
• For each incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted from the total score.
• Unanswered or unattempted will be given no marks.
• To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct option.
• However, after the process of challenges of the answer key, in case there are multiple correct options or change in key, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised Answer key will be awarded marks.
• In case a question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.

There is no provision for rechecking or revaluation or retotaling of the result, scores in CMAT 2023. The exam conducting authority will not entertain any query in this regard. 

Candidates will be required to enter application number and date of birth to download CMAT results 2023.

In some colleges, written ability test (WAT) are taken to evaluate aspirants. In this round, students will be given a topic to write their opinion on. The admission authorities will evaluate the candidate’s writing skills through this round. To successfully attempt WAT, students are advised to read the newspaper daily.

For the admission process of CMAT 2023, the following group discussions skills are expected to be evaluated: negotiation skills, encouragement skill, creative and logical thinking, real-life scenarios, closure skills, leadership qualities, managerial skill, initiation skill.

The cut off for CMAT 2023 is the minimum score that a candidate must secure so that he/she can  get selected for further rounds of the admission process.
