CMI Entrance Exam 2023 for BSc, MSc, PhD admission on May 7; registration begins on March 1

NEW DELHI: Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) has announced the schedule for BSc, MSc, PhD admission for the academic session starting in August 2023. The CMI entrance exam for admission will be held on May 7 and the registration will begin on March 1 on the official website, cmi.ac.in.
Students with exceptionally good performance in the national olympiads in mathematics, physics and informatics are exempted from writing the BSc entrance examination, the institute said.
For CMI's PhD admission, students who qualify for the interview by writing national level exams such as Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) and NBHM will also be eligible. There is no separate CMI entrance examination for PhD Physics other than JEST. The institute offers admission to BSc, Msc and PhD programmes in mathematics, computer science and physics.
It conducts a common entrance exam for both 3-year BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Computer Science and BSc (Hons) in mathematics and physics. While submitting the CMI application form 2023, students need not select the course and the choice can be made after admission, CMI informed students.
