University of Delhi’s campus of open learning announces admissions for foreign language certificate and diploma courses, with flagship professional programmes starting June 17

Download NowThe Campus of Open Learning (COL), University of Delhi, has opened admissions for its one-year certificate and diploma programmes in foreign languages. The courses will be offered through the Open Learning Development Centre (OLDC) under the Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE), School of Open Learning (SOL).

Students can enrol in programmes offered in German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The courses are being conducted in collaboration with the University of Delhi’s Department of Germanic and Romance Studies and the Department of East Asian Studies.
These programmes are designed to support higher education, skill development and career growth through flexible learning options.
DU SOL Admissions: Professional courses
Apart from the language programmes, admissions to several flagship professional courses offered by DDCE will begin from June 17, 2026. The courses include Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Library and Information Science (MLISc), Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLISc), and Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Digital Media Leadership (PGDADLM).

Candidates interested in applying can check the COL admission portal for details regarding eligibility, admission procedures, fee structure and important schedules.
DU SOL Admissions: More language learning opportunities
As part of its efforts to reach a larger number of learners, OLDC plans to introduce these language courses in an online format in the near future. The initiative is expected to make the programmes accessible to students and working professionals across the country.
The centre is also expanding its foreign language offerings with the launch of certificate and diploma programmes in Russian. These courses will be introduced in collaboration with the Department of Slavonic and Finno-Ugrian Studies, University of Delhi, and will be available in both classroom and online modes.
