Kerala: Protesters clashed with police at multiple locations, calling for the health minister to step down following the death of a woman after a portion of the Kottayam Medical College building collapsed.
JMI: The university is ahead of other institutions by declaring 80% of the results already, in the ongoing admission cycle 2025-26.
Around 100 students, some with parents, returned as the gates reopened. Police have sealed the students' union room and guard's cabin for investigation. Classes will follow the usual timetable from July 8.
"No one, however powerful or well-connected, can be allowed to hold an educational institution hostage or to exert totalitarian power with elements of violence," West Bengal Governor said.
The central university has also announced an extension of the hostel facilities for PhD scholars who are in the final phase of completing their thesis.
