The college is temporarily accommodating students in its classrooms due to the closure of PG accommodations and concerns over safety of students staying in the area.
"Due to the lack of good hostels in colleges or universities, students are forced to live in PG accommodations, 40-40 at a time under one roof, in inhumane conditions," Rahul Gandhi wrote on X over boys PG building collapse.
"Most of the students staying here are from Keralam, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh and study mainly at Motilal Nehru College, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm College and Sri Venkateswara College," a local resident said.
“According to the UGC Act, 1956 in chapter II, clause 5(2) clearly say the chairman shall be chosen from among persons who are not officers of the central or of any state government," AIFUCTO said.
IIM Bangalore's National Student Case Competition 2026 is open for UG, and PG students from any recognised college or university across the country.
Director said the poster was part of a student-led event and had not been endorsed by the institute.
