Competition Commission of India calls for internship applications; all you need to know
CCI Internship 2024: Upon completion of the course, stipend of Rs 15,000 per month will be given as honorarium along with a internship certificate.

NEW DELHI: The Competition Commission of India (CCI) will close the internship registration today. The internship is conducted to familarize students pursuing economics, law, management, and finance with the provision of Competition Act and its applications. Interested students will have to download the application form at the official website, cci.gov.in.
Internships provided by CCI are normally for a period of one month, which commences on the first working day of the month. However, candidates seeking internship for 2 to 3 months will also be allowed to apply with due recommendation from the recognised college, university, or institution. The commission will organise a short induction programme on provisions of Competition Act, 2002 on the first day of Internship.
Upon completion of the course, stipend of Rs 15,000 per month will be given as honorarium.
The CCI internship application form 2024 should be downloaded from the official website. After completing the internship form in the prescribed format, it should be sent by post to - “The Secretary, Competition Commission of India, Competition Commission of India, 10th Floor, Office Block, Tower.1, Ring Road (Opposite AIIMS) Kidwai Nagar (East), New Delhi-110023”. Applications can also be emailed at internships@cci.gov.in .
CCI Internship: Who is eligible?
Before filling in the application, candidates should ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria. Students pursuing following courses will be considered for the internship programmes.
Economics and Management - Students pursuing fourth and final year of 5-year integrated degree in MA, MSc Economics, or MBA.
Law - Second and third year of the LLB or fourth and final year of the five-year integrated course in law. LLM
Regulatory Governance - MA or MSc in Regulatory Governance will also be eligible.
Professional courses - Students of final group of Chartered Accountancy or Cost Accountancy or Company Secretary.
Scheme of CCI internship
The applications will be reviewed and each month 15 interns will be shortlisted. The selected candidates will be deputed to various divisions of the Commission in different batches where work will be allocated under the guidance of an assigned officer.
The interns will be required to make presentations on the work done by them at the end of the programme, failing which certificate and stipend will not be provided.
It may accept more interns if there are more applicants with good research topics on competition law.
“Internship is a fulltime programme and hence interns are required to observe working hours of the Commission. Any absence during working hours may result in extension of the period of internship without any honorarium. The internship may be discontinued any time without payment of any honorarium if the performance of the intern is not found satisfactory or the intern is absent without authorization of the guide," it said.
