COVID-19: All Madhya Pradesh schools to reopen for Classes 1 to 12 with 100% attendance

The School education department of Madhya Pradesh has issued new guidelines in view of COVID-19, decided to reopen schools with immediate effect.
NEW DELHI: As COVID-19 cases decline in the state, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to reopen schools for Classes 1 to 12, residential schools and hostels with 100% attendance.
“New guidelines issued by the School Education Department in view of the current situation of Kovid-19 infection. 1. All schools / residential schools / hostels will be operated with 100% attendance for all classes from class 01 to 12,” the School Education Department of MP tweeted.

According to the new guidelines, all schools, hostels will have to follow COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) including masks, sanitisation, social distancing.
Meanwhile, Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Saturday that the central government will roll out COVID-19 vaccination for children in the age group of 5 to 15 years as soon as it receives recommendations to that effect from a group of experts.

Moreover, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to reopen schools for Classes nursery to 12 from February 14 as the state witnesses a decline in COVID-19 cases. In a latest order by the Yogi government on COVID-19 guidelines, the state has allowed classes from nursery to 12 to resume offline classes from February 14.
