NEW DELHI: The education minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, has invited the stakeholders-- students, teachers, parents, and school administrators to share their ideas on how to continue the teaching-learning process during and after the COVID-19 lockdown.
“COVID-19 has drastically impacted our education systems. I look forward to your creative, out of the box ideas on how to facilitate learning in our schools during and post COVID-19 lockdown,” Sisodia said on social media.
The minister has also shared an online form where suggestions from students, teachers, parents, and school administrators can be registered.
The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the education system of the country. Due to the ongoing lockdown, schools, and colleges across India had to shift to online classes to continue the teaching-learning process.
Many government schools of Delhi has been converted into quarantine centres and food centres.
On May 6, 2020, the Delhi government announced summer vacation for government-run and aided schools, from May 11 to June 30.
Previously, at a meeting with the minister for human resource development, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ Sisodia had suggested that the CBSE syllabus for the 2020-21 session be reduced by 30 percent.
