CRENS at BITS Pilani Hyderabad, T-Works sign agreement to promote research on national security

CRENS, T-Works partnership will focus on research and skill development, mentorship and advisory, industry collaborations, and resource sharing.
NEW DELHI : The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, Centre of Research Excellence for National Security (CRENS) has signed an agreement with India’s largest T-Works prototyping center. The agreement aims to promote collaboration in national security, the BITS Pilani statement said.
The agreement was signed by Joginder Tanikella the CEO of T-Works, and Soumyo Mukherji the director of BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus.
According to the official statement, the collaboration ceremony was held at the Telangana State Government Secretariat, in the presence of the minister for information technology, electronics, and communications, Duddilla Sridhar Babu; special chief secretary from the department of Information Technology, electronics, and communications, Jayesh Ranjan, IAS; and deputy secretary at the department of Information Technology, electronics, and communications, Bhavesh Mishra, IAS.
The partnership also marks a significant step toward translating research into tangible solutions for national security.

CRENS, T-Works: Five pillars of collaboration
According to the BITS Pilani statement, the partnership outlines key areas for collaboration including research and development, skill development, mentorship and advisory, industry collaborations, and resource sharing.
CRENS, established to advance indigenous technology development in national security, will leverage T-Work's prototyping capabilities to transform academic innovations into impactful products, the official BITS Pilani statement said.
Speaking on the occasion, Soumyo Mukherji the director of BITS Pilani Hyderabad said: “This agreement symbolizes the synergy between academia and industry. With T-Works's advanced prototyping capabilities, CRENS is poised to transform its research into meaningful, scalable solutions for India’s national security framework.”
