Use NowThe Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has announced the counselling schedule for the North Eastern States and Some of the Union Territories (CSAB-NEUT). The NTA JEE Mains 2025 rank will be used for admission to engineering and architecture courses in AICTE-approved institutions.
Due to lack of facilities for education in specific field of technical education, the Centre has reserved a few seats in engineering, architecture, technology, and pharmacy for students belonging to eight north-east states - Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
Five Union Territories (UTs) – Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, and Ladakh will also participate in the CSAB-NEUT counselling. Earlier, the chairperson of CSAB said that around 2,000 seats will be available under the state quota for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs within the north-eastern states based on JEE Main rank. Additionally, 740 seats are expected to be available across India under the NEUT category.
CSAB-NEUT counselling is conducted only for seats reserved in institutes that are not covered under CSAB, JoSAA counselling, and some seats of NERIST, Itanagar.
There will be two rounds of CSAB-NEUT counselling , followed by a spot round. The spot round will be conducted by the respective DTEs of North Eastern States or UTs, and North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, Itanagar (NERIST Itanagar).
