NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education has issued a notice in which it has declared that CBSE CTET 2021 exam will be held in online mode. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021 exam will be conducted in December/January. CBSE has also declared that the questions that would be asked in the CTET 2021 exam will be more focussed on assessing conceptual understanding, application, problem-solving, reasoning, and critical thinking.
The CTET 2021 exam which is held twice in a year has been delayed this year due to the second wave of the COVID 19 pandemic. The detailed notification for CTET 2021 will be declared soon on the official website.

The CTET question paper which was earlier developed to assess the factual knowledge of the candidates will now be more analytical and it will be in accordance with the New Education Policy. The questions that will be asked in CBSE CTET 2021 exam will aim at evaluating the candidate’s understanding of teaching the subject, their pedagogic content knowledge, their knowledge relevance of the subject in the school curriculum as well as other spheres such as pedagogic content knowledge.
Those appearing for the CTET 2021 exam will also be assessed on:
Planning of teaching-learning experiences
Strategies for developing conceptual clarity
Usage of teaching-learning aids and assessment methodologies specific to the concept.
CBSE will conduct the CTET 2021 exam in online mode so as to prepare the futuristic teachers to become more computer literate.
Another reason for conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in online mode is to save large amount of paper that is used in the printing of question papers
The Online exam of CTET will ensure that the CTET result is announced at the earliest.
CBSE will also set up free facilitation centres in various districts wherein the candidates will get an opportunity to get themselves familiar with the online mock test. This facility will be provided to the candidates free of cost.
