NEW DELHI: The director of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) has urged the examination conducting authorities not to conduct any public examinations between January 9, 2023 and February 7, 2023 to avoid clash with CTET 2022. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting CTET 2022 from December 28 to February 7.
J K Yadav, CTET director, wrote to state boards, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), National Testing Agency (NTA), University Grants Commission (SSC), all state SSCs, railway board, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Naovdaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Central Tibetan Schools Administration, association of Indian universities, Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), CSIR, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), National Commission for Teachers Education (NCTE), National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), CBSE officials and others with the request.

In the official notification, the director said that the ministry of education has entrusted the responsibility to conduct the CTET exam to CBSE. Accordingly, CBSE has fixed the dates for conducting the exam. The test will be conducted in 211 cities across the country.
“It is therefore requested to kindly avoid the aforesaid dates for conducting any public examination so that the examination date do not clash and to avoid any inconvenience and loss to the candidates to the aforesaid examination may be avoided,” read the notification.
A total of 32.45 lakh have registered this year for CTET 2022. Candidates who registered for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be able to download the CTET 2022 hall ticket from the official website, ctet.nic.in, by entering registration ID, date of birth and password.
