CTET 2024 concludes; marksheets to be available on DigiLocker accounts

NEW DELHI: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the 18th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) today, January 21. A total of 26,93526 candidates registered for the CTET 2024 exam. The CTET 2024 was held at 3,418 test centres in 135 cities across the country.

According to the official release, a total of 9,58,153 candidates registered for paper 1 exam and 17,35,333 registered for paper 2 CTET 2024 exam. CTET 2024 paper 1 is held to determine the eligibility of teachers for classes 1 to 5, while paper 2 is to evaluate the eligibility of teachers for classes 6 to 8.

CTET 2024 marksheets

The CBSE board has made arrangements for providing CTET 2024 digital marksheets and eligibility certificates to the candidates via DigiLocker. As per CBSE, this is an effort towards the ‘Green initiative’.

CBSE will create DigiLocker accounts for candidates who appeared for CTET 2024. Account credentials will be provided to them via their mobile numbers provided by the candidate during the registration process. Candidates will be able download their CTET 2024 mark sheets and eligibility certificates using the credentials provided.

The official press release read “The digitally signed mark sheet and eligibility certificate are legally valid as per the IT Act. Incorporation of technology in examination related activities and environmental protection is a strong step taken by the Board. The Board is committed to save a huge amount of money and valuable resources like paper, trees and water and reduce carbon emissions”.

The CTET 2024 marksheet and certificate will include an encrypted QR code that can be scanned and verified using the DigiLocker mobile app.
