CUET UG 2024: NTA to allow addition of 2 new test papers during correction period

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will allow CUET UG 2024 aspirants to add the two new test papers during the correction period. The Common University Entrance Test - Undergraduate (CUET UG 2024) registration process is ongoing and will conclude on March 26.

The NTA earlier informed about the addition of two new test papers - fashion studies and tourism - while answering the frequently asked questions. However, today it has issued an official notification announcing the addition of the two subjects. In total, the NTA will conduct the CUET UG 2024 exam for 63 subjects - 33 languages, 29 domain-specific, and one general test.

Fashion studies and tourism papers have been added to CUET UG 2024 “ in pursuance to the direction of UGC and CBSE to promote skill subjects in true spirit in line of NEP recommendations”, the NTA said.

“The candidates may note that those who have already submitted their online application form for CUET (UG) – 2024 may also add these subjects during the correction period. However, the candidate for selecting more subjects will pay an additional fee (if applicable),” it added.

As per the schedule announced earlier, the NTA will open the correction facility from March 28 to 29. The CUET UG city slip 2024 will be issued on April 30 onwards.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M Jagadesh Kumar yesterday informed that 46 central universities, 32 state universities, 20 deemed-to-be-universities, 98 private and six government colleges will be participating in the CUET UG 2024. That is, 202 universities will be using CUET UG score for offering admission to undergraduate programmes.
