NEW DELHI: The Cochin University of Science and Technology has issued a notice regarding the schedule for the Third Spot Admissions for the BTech program, based on the Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test (CUSAT CAT) 2024 rank list.

The CUSAT will conduct the third round of BTech spot admissions on September 10. The university held the BTech spot admissions round 2 from September 3 to 5. During spot admissions, seats that remain vacant after the regular admission process are filled.
The CUSAT CAT 2024 official notice read, “Candidates who have already received allotment and completed the fees payment and accept spot admission to a different program in the same fee category, his/her earlier allotment will automatically be cancelled. Candidates who have already received allotment and completed the fees payment and accept spot admission to a different program of the higher fee category need to remit the balance fee within the specified time, failing which their new allotment and their previous allotment will be cancelled automatically.’’
CUSAT CAT 2024 Btech Spot Admission: Time and venue
For the Third Round of BTech Spot Admissions through the CUSAT CAT 2024 rank list, candidates must register for counseling between 9 am and 10 am. Candidates are required to adhere to this registration time slot to be eligible for participation in the spot admission process. The counseling will take place at the Seminar Complex, near the Administrative Office, Cochin University of Science and Technology, South Kalamassery, Kochi – 682 022.
CUSAT CAT 2024 Btech Counselling: Fee payment and verification
As per the CUSAT CAT counselling 2024 notice, candidates participating in the spot admission are required pay the required fee online immediately after their allotment. The option to make the payment will be activated in the candidate's profile right away. Failure to remit the fee will result in the cancellation of the admission without further notice. Once the fee payment is completed, candidates can proceed with document verification. Additionally, candidates will need to pay any additional fees, such as those for PTA, DDF, or Alumni, during the verification process conducted by the department.
CUSAT CAT 2024 BTech Spot Admission: Documents required
Candidates will require the following documents for CUSAT CAT 2024 BTech spot admission.
- CAT 2024 admit card or online application registration confirmation page
- Migration certificate (for students from outside Kerala state)
- SSLC or Class 10 marksheet and pass certificate (CBSE, ICSE, etc)
- Class 12 marksheet and pass certificate (CBSE, ICSE, etc)
- Certificate to prove Keralite status for state merit seats
- Transfer certificate and conduct certificate from the institution last attended (in English version)
- Four passport size photographs of the candidate
- Community and non-creamy layer certificate in the case of ‘SEBC’ candidates
- Community certificate issued by the Tahsildar in the case of Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) or Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) candidates
- Candidates seeking admission under Physically Challenged (PHC) category should produce a valid Physically Handicapped Certificate issued by the district medical board of the state to which the candidate belongs
- If any of the above certificates are not in English or Malayalam, candidates should produce a translated version in English endorsed by a notary public
- Two sets of self-attested copies of all original certificates or documents mentioned above
- Proof for special reservation, if any (DAC, NRI, CGW, CHD, EWS, IDC, AND, TG, etc)
- Annexure II declaration to be submitted by candidate stating nationality (duly filled) (only for outside Kerala candidates)
