Delhi EWS Nursery Admission 2022: Last date to apply for entry level classes in private schools

Last date to submit fresh application for Delhi EWS Nursery Admission 2022 for pre-school, nursery, pre-primary, KG and Class 1 at edudel.nic.in.
NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Education (DoE) will close the online application process for to fill up vacant seats reserved for economically weaker sections (EWS) and disadvantaged groups (DG) in Delhi private schools today, March 3. Fresh application for Delhi EWS Nursery Admission 2022 for entry-level classes (pre-school, nursery, pre-primary, KG and Class 1) was invited in February at edudel.nic.in.
The DoE will undertake another draw of lots on March 7. Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009, 25% of all seats in private schools are to be reserved for families under the EWS/DG category in entry-level classes. “3% seats within the 25% reserved seats under EWS, DG at the entry level classes of the private unaided recognized schools by Directorate of Education (DoE) will be reserved for admission under Children with Disabilities Category for the session 2021-22,” the official notification said.

Any person residing in Delhi, having the residence proof of Delhi and requisite income certificate - less than Rs 1 lakh rupees annually - will be eligible to apply, the DoE said. The condition of minimum residency period of 3 years in Delhi for applying to admission under EWS and DG has been waived off.
As per the guidelines, the eligible age limits for pre-school, nursery, pre-primary, KG and Class 1 is given below.

Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class (Non-creamy Layer), Orphans, Transgender and all children living with or affected by HIV, shall be considered as Disadvantaged Group Category.
