NEW DELHI: The Delhi government’s Department of Education (DoE) will close registration window for nursery admissions in private unaided recognised schools today, January 3. Parents interested in enrolling their children in nursery, kindergarten (KG), or Class 1 for the 2025-26 academic year must fill the Delhi Nursery admission application form through the official website, edudel.nic.in.
In Delhi nursery admission 2025, 25 per cent of seats are reserved for economically weaker sections (EWS) and disadvantaged group (DG) students and children with disabilities in private schools.
The Delhi nursery admissions 2025 first list of selected students will be issued on January 17. The window for allotment-related queries will be made available from January 18 to January 27, 2025. The second list of selected children will be issued on February 3 and the resolution window will open from February 5 to February 11.

Under Delhi nursery admissions 2025, private and unaided recognised schools have implemented a scoring system out of 100 points for admissions, which evaluates applicants based on different criteria. The distance from the school is one of the most significant factor with points assigned as follows:
The minimum age limit for Delhi Nursery Admission 2025 is three years for Nursery, four years for KG and five years for Class 1 as on March 31, 2025. The upper age limit for Delhi Nursery Admission 2025 is below four years for Nursery, below five years for KG and below six years for Class 1.
The age limit for Delhi Nursery Admission may be relaxed up to 30 days at the level of heads of schools in the minimum and upper age limit of classes. Parents can approach the heads or principals of schools to get age relaxation through manual application.
