Delhi Nursery Admission 2025: Registration for open seats ends tomorrow; tie-breaking policy

NEW DELHI: The Delhi government’s Department of Education (DoE) will close registration process for applicants who are applying for nursery admissions in private unaided recognised schools tomorrow, January 3. Parents who want to enrol their children in nursery, KG, or Class 1 for the 2025-26 academic session will have to complete the application process and upload the required details on the official website, edudel.nic.in.

In Delhi nursery admission 2025, 25 per cent of seats are reserved for economically weaker sections (EWS) and disadvantaged group (DG) students and children with disabilities in private schools. A separate list will be issued for students falling under this section.

As per the schedule, the Delhi nursery admissions 2025 first list of selected students will be available by January 17 on the official website. The window for allotment-related queries will be made available from January 18 to January 27, 2025.

Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to download the Delhi nursery admissions 2025 fist list.

The department will release a Delhi nursery admissions 2025 second list of selected children on February 3 and the resolution window will open from February 5 to February 11.

Delhi Nursery Admission 2025: Eligibility

The minimum age limit for Delhi nursery admissions 2025 is three years for nursery, four years for KG and five years for Class 1, as of March 31, 2025.

The upper age limit for Delhi nursery admissions 2025 is less than four years for nursery, less than five years for KG and less than six years for Class 1.

Delhi Nursery Admission 2025: Tie-breaking policy

In case of a tie among applicants for Delhi nursery admissions 2025, a draw of lots will be conducted. The lot will be conducted either using a computerised system or by drawing slips in the presence of parents. The draw will be shot on video and the footage will be retained by the school.
