Delhi University opens admissions for 'any course, any age' under CES scheme 2026

The University of Delhi (UoD) has opened CES 26 applications for admission to various courses. Working professionals or learners of any age, seeking admission to various courses across the DU colleges, under the Competence Enhancement Scheme (CES), can register through the official website at ces.du.ac.in.

The Delhi University seats under the CES for each course shall be treated as supernumerary, as per the official notification. The CES admissions are an opportunity for knowledge enhancement through any course and any age group candidate can apply.

Working professional applicants should have to upload a No-objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.

Candidates have to submit details of the course of their interest such as programme name, semester, course name, course code, course credit, among more to apply for CES admission.

DU CES 2025-26 Admissions: Apply for maximum 2 courses

An applicant can apply for a maximum of two courses or 8 credits, whichever is earlier, the notice read.

“Any person who fulfills the minimum eligibility criteria and pre-requisites, if any, specified for an existing paper, can register for the same. Selection for admission for any paper depends on the availability of seats in the respective departments and colleges ,” the official notification said.

The seats under CES in a course shall be treated as supernumerary. The course fee for each programme is Rs 6,000 and each application form will be scrutinised, and verified by the office.

Once the Application Form Status is 'verified', a candidate may then proceed to pay the application fee at DU’s Miscellanous fee, and submit a copy of the fee receipt at the office for seeking admission to the course of the programme, the notice read.

The expected outcomes of this scheme are to fulfill educational dreams of those who could not get opportunity earlier, to upgrade academic and professional skills using latest technology, knowledge and innovation, and therefore enable senior and non-senior citizens to continue as lifelong learner, the university said.
