DoE has suggested revisions in guest teachers' remuneration structure from a per-day basis to a fixed monthly remuneration based on basic pay and dearness allowances
The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued a proposal to revise the remuneration structure for guest teachers, shifting from payment on a per-day basis to a fixed monthly remuneration of basic pay and dearness allowance.
According to DoE, currently guest teachers in Delhi PDT, including EVGC, TGT, miscellaneous teachers, and PRT engaged in Delhi government schools, are being paid remuneration on a per-day basis.
All guest teachers are engaged against sanctioned vacant posts of postgraduate teacher (PGT), trained graduate teacher (TGT) , and primary teacher (PRT) in government schools and discharge duties equivalent to those performed by regular teachers. Therefore, their engagement is against existing sanctioned posts and does not add any posts.
