Dr. C.V. Raman University Bilaspur announces courses aimed at boosting employability

New Delhi, Aug 1 3 , 2019: The Dr C.V. Raman University (CVRU) Bilaspur is inviting applications for the session starting from August 2019 for a wide range of degree programmes catering to varied interests and aspirations of students. These courses offered at the university are aimed at boosting student employability and addressing the industry’s need for skilled workforce.
Students pursuing the courses will have access to world-class research and educational facilities at CVRU Bilaspur. The university has introduced skills-based learning in regular degree programmes in order to train the students in the latest in-demand market skills. The research environment is strengthened by the “Navratna Centres of Excellence” - Center for Advanced Material Research, Center for Renewable Energy and Center for Earth & Space Science, Center for Incubation, Entrepreneurship and Startups, Center for Science Communication, Center for Agriculture Research and Center for IoT and Advance Computing, among others.
The programmes offered by the University through its 12 Faculties include Ph.D, M.Phil, Postgraduate and Undergraduate courses across subjects like Biotechnology, Life Science, Computer Science, Rural Development, Finance, Management, Economics, Sociology, Zoology, Yoga, Political Science, Mass Communication, Social Work, Law, English Literature and Physics, among many others.
For admission to undergraduate programmes, candidates should have passed 12 th with at least 45% marks, including selected subjects based on the course, while for the Masters Programmes, candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in their bachelor’s degree in the respective discipline.
Equipped with a state-of-the-art Entrepreneurship Development Cell, the University inculcates entrepreneurial spirit in the students and prepares them to become leaders and address social challenges. Extensive linkages with international universities and industries have played a crucial role in providing the right practical exposure in order to boost the employability of students.
