Here’s how Delhi University will offer admission to UG courses

NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi will provide admission to its UG programmes based on the marks scored by candidates in the CUET 2022 entrance examination from academic session 2022-23. Delhi University has decided to replace the existing cut-off system which was based on the Class 12th marks.

In the last executive meeting, the members of DU executive council agreed to adopt the CUET 2022 entrance test score for admission to UG programmes. The students have to necessarily pass the Class 12th examination to be eligible for admission to DU UG programmes.

The CUET application form 2022 for UG programmes will be released on April 2. The last date to fill and submit the CUET application form 2022 is April 30. The CUET 2022 entrance exam will be conducted in the first week of July.

The CUET 2022 exam will be held in two shifts. The first shift consists of one language test, two domain-specific papers and a general test. The second shift of the CUET exam 2022 includes four domain-specific subjects and one optional language subject.

The NTA will conduct the CUCET 2022 entrance exam for admission to UG programmes in 13 languages namely Hindi, Punjabi, Assamese, Bengali, Odia, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Urdu and English. The entrance exam of CUET 2022 will be conducted in computer based mode. The question papers of CUET 2022 will have both objective type and multiple choice questions.The total number of questions asked in the CUET 2022 entrance exam will be 175.

Delhi University offers admission to various undergraduate programmes offered at the 64 DU colleges. The university offers around 70,000 seats in various courses such as BA, BCom and B.Sc. Out of this, 3291 seats are reserved for candidates applying under the ECA and sports category.
