NEW DELHI : 21,312 students have opted for upgrade as the Delhi University (DU) opened the window to upgrade courses and colleges today on the official website – admission.uod.ac.in. Candidates can reorder higher preferences and choose their desired courses and colleges till tomorrow, October 27 for DU UG admission 2022.
The university has also displayed the list of vacant seats left after the first round of DU CSAS 2022. In many of the courses, only one to two seats will be available for candidates in the second round of seat allocation, according to the list. Some courses like BA economics in Hindu College and BA programme (history + political science) in Aryabhatta College have zero seats left. Most of the seats in popular colleges in DU's North Campus are already filled up.

DU will allow only those applicants to upgrade options who have secured admission during the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) round 1. The university had informed that if a new preference is allocated, the current seat will be cancelled. Candidates who get upgraded will have to accept the upgraded seat and complete the admission procedures on the upgraded allocated seat.
The upgrade option will not be available for those candidates who have been allocated their first preference of course and college in the first round of seat allocations.
If a candidate does not do any activity on the upgraded seat it will, by default, be considered cancelled and the candidate will be out of CSAS-2022.
The candidates who wish to continue with their allocated seats should submit a 'freeze' request through their dashboard. "On selecting 'freeze', the candidate will not be allowed to opt for 'upgrade.' If a candidate neither opts for upgrade nor 'freeze', the admission taken by them will be retained and they will not be considered for upgrade.
