DU UG Admission 2023 Live: CSAS first allocation merit list out at admission.uod.ac.in; CUET cutoff

In its first round of DU allocation list, 202416 eligible candidates were considered for allocation based on their preference of programme and college combinations. A total of 8,5853 candidates have been allocated in the first round of allocation itself. This includes allocation to all programmes in all colleges in UR, SC, ST, OBC (NCL) and EWS categories. 

Candidates can login to the DU 2023 CSAS portal by using their login details to make the payment of DU 2023 first allocation list. The last date to make the payment of DU 2023 first allotment list is August 6.

BCom has emerged as one of the most preferred courses, as a total of 72,769 students applied for the programme. This is closely followed by BCom (Hons) and BA (Hons) English with 67,686 and 62,680 registrations, respectively.

In the first DU merit list 2023, as many as 7,042s students have got seats in their first preferences. Around 22,000 got admissions in their first 5 preferences.

According to Delhi University, 1,61,533 candidates opted for Kirori Mal College in their preference forms. This was followed by Hindu College with 1,58,548 applications, Hansraj College (1,57,162) and Ramjas College (1,56,068).

The University of Delhi offers admission to Sikh and Christian minority candidates to six  minority colleges. In minority colleges, 50% of the seats are for candidates belonging to the unreserved category and 50% are reserved for minority candidates.

After the College approves, the candidate will have to pay the Admission Fee for the approved seat. The admission process will be treated as complete only after successful payment of the admission fee. If the candidate fails to make the payment, the allocated list will be rejected.

•   Minimum Eligibility of the candidate. 
•  Program-Specific Eligibility of the candidate. 
• Subject Mapping: Only those CUET(UG)-2023 Language and/ or Domain specific papers in which the candidate has passed Class XII will be considered. 
• Validity and authenticity of Documents/Certificates submitted by the candidate. 

If the college approves the request, the candidate should pay the admission fee.

Candidates who failed to apply for CSAS 2023 within the deadline can participate through the mid entry window by paying a non - refundable application fee of Rs /- 1000.

Once a seat has been allocated in a particular round, then the candidate must "accept" the allocated seat before the last date August 4 by 5 pm. 

As many as 40,565 male students and 45,287 female candidates are allotted seats in the DU CSAS 1st preference. One transgender candidate has also been admitted.

Among the students who were allotted seats in DU first list today, most are from CBSE board, followed by CISCE and BSEB.

A candidate who has taken admission on an DU first seat allocation and desires to continue with it should submit a freeze request through his or her dashboard. On selecting 'Freeze', such a candidate will never be allowed to opt for "Upgradation." If an admitted candidate neither opts for upgrading nor freezes and remains inactive in that round, the admission taken by him or her will be retained, and he or she will not be considered for upgradation in any subsequent rounds.

In the event of a tie, where two or more candidates have the same CUET UG 2023 meritscore for a Program and College Combination, the following rules will be applied in the stated order to break the tie:

1. The candidate with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the Best 3 subjects of Class XII will be given preference.

2. The candidate with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the Best 4 subjects of Class XII will be given preference.

3. The candidates with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the Best 5 subjects of Class XII will be given preference.

4. Age of the candidate; preference will be given to the candidate having an earlier date of birth (as mentioned in the Class X certificate).

Delhi University ahs announced the DU 2023 simulated rank list on July 29 at the CSAS portal.

There are around 70,000 seats offered by the DU colleges for 78 programmes in 68 colleges.

According to the CSAS data, the BCom is the most preferred choice of the students this year, followed by BCom Hons and BA English Hons.
