DU: Students to send bank details for admission 2020 cancellation, excess fee refund by September 30

NEW DELHI: Students who have not received refund for cancellation or excess fee for undergraduate or postgraduate admission 2020 can send their bank account details with scanned copy of the check or passbook and fee receipt to fin5du@gmail.com so that university can take early action, Delhi University said on its official website. The last date to submit details to get a refund is September 30.

Students are required to submit their details in the following format:

“Students are strictly instructed to write their form number in subject of the mail and send their mail only in above format to fin5du@gmail.com and not to any other DU authorities,” said Delhi University on its official website.

DU has also asked students to check refund status first in the earlier notification to avoid repetition of mails.

DU further said that the mails that are not filled properly according to the given instructions will not be entertained.

For undergraduate admissions 2021, Delhi University is likely to announce the first cut-off list on October 1. According to the experts, the cut offs are expected to rise as more students scored above 95% this year in comparison to the last year.

While the board exams were cancelled in the state due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Central Board of Seconday Education (CBSE) and other boards declared Class 12 board results 2021 on the basis of an alternate evaluation criteria.

CBSE announced Class 12 board results on July 30 and this year, the results have been high with many students securing higher marks as compared to the previous year.

Over 2.87 lakh students have applied for DU's undergraduate courses, down from 3.53 lakh applications last year, with the maximum students from CBSE.
