DU Admissions 2020: Delhi University to provide application correction facility later

NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi will reopen the DU admission portal for application correction and updating the 12 ^th marks at a later stage. Though the dates for updating the 12 ^th marks in the DU application form 2020 have not be declared yet, however, it is certain that along with updating their marks, the candidates will also be able to make some changes in the application form of DU 2020. Now, it must be noted that application correction facility will not allow candidates to make changes in all the details, but only in a few particulars and this will only be a one-time facility. Details about what can be changed in DU application form during correction are yet to be confirmed by the Delhi University.

A few news reports have been making rounds that there’s no application correction facility in the DU application form 2020, quoting the DU admission webinar which took place o June 23. However, it has to be understood in the right context. Nowhere in the webinar the DU officials have mentioned that application correction facility will not be available. While filling the DU application form, any candidate can make the corrections in the details submitted by using the “Preview” option available at each stage of the process. They can even make changes in the details submitted in the DU 2020 application by using the “Edit” option if they have not paid the fee and finally submitted the application form.

At this stage, before paying the application fee and final submission, they can make corrections and editing in all the details they want (except registration details). But with the reopening of the application portal for updating the 12 ^th marks, the changes will be restricted to only a few particulars.

Nothing has changed for DU application form as compared to last year in terms of application correction. Last year too, the University of Delhi had followed the same process. There was no application correction facility once the application form of DU was finally submitted with fee payment. And the process is the same for this year too. Last year too, the application correction facility (a one-time facility) was limited to a few details only.

DU admission process began around 5.30 pm on June 20 this year with the release of the application forms for UG, PG and post PG courses. This year the entire process of the admission, even the document verification will be held online without any physical touch. The other changes include no trails for sports and ECA quota seats.
