NEW DELHI: Delhi University will conduct the pending semester and annual examination as per the schedule announced by the University Grants Commission. The university is likely to conduct the examinations in both online and offline modes.
On May 6, the university constituted a 15-member working group to oversee examination-related matters. Uma Shankar Pandey, the officer on special duty at the School of Open Learning (SOL), who is also a member of the committee, told Careers360 that the committee will soon meet to work on the modalities of conducting the examination.
The group has been tasked to study all matters related to examinations and review the preparedness related to conduct of examination and suggest appropriate steps.
When asked if the university is looking at conducting online examinations, Pandey also said that any decision will be taken keeping the interests of students in mind. “There are chances of having both online and offline examination, but that would be too early to say anything as we are yet to have any meeting.”
The university earlier formed a task force to provide support to its students during the lockdown. “I would like to also clarify that we would be having examination as per the schedule announced by the UGC (University Grants Commission), so there is no question of the university not conducting the examination,” he said.
