DU PG Admission 2022: Last date to accept round 2 allocated seats today

NEW DELHI : The University of Delhi will close the window for candidates to accept the seats allotted in DU PG second merit list 2022 for admission to postgraduate programmes across colleges today, December 9, 2022. Seat allotted candidates can accept the seats on the official website -- pgadmission.uod.ac.in. DU released the second merit list on December 7, 2022.

Candidates can verify their documents and get approval of admission from December 8 to 10. Last date to make online fee payment is December 10.

The university will release PG third admission list on December 12. Candidates will be able to apply for the DU PG admission against the third merit list 2022 from December 13 to 14.

Meanwhile, the Delhi University has announced that it will hold postgraduate admissions through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) from the next academic session. DU Executive Council passed a resolution for this on December 8. In November, the Academic Council of the university passed a proposal to change the admission pattern for PG programmes.

Under the current admission system, 50 per cent of admissions are done directly from students who did their bachelor's degrees from the university based on merit in their qualifying examinations. The change in the admission pattern of postgraduate programmes was proposed by a 10-member committee formed to suggest a strategy for PG admissions from 2023-2024.

The remaining 50 per cent of seats are currently filled based on candidates' ranks in the DU postgraduate entrance test. "The Executive Council has approved to recommend PG admissions through CUET with half of the seats remaining under merit-based admission for students of DU," council member Seema Das told PTI.
