DU PG Admissions 2026: Revised seat matrix out, 49 seats in unreserved category

University of Delhi (DU) has released the revised seat matrix for admissions to its one-year postgraduate programmes. The correction window for the 2026-27 academic session will remain open till 11.59 pm today, August 1. According to an official notice, candidates who have already completed phase I and phase II registration can make corrections to their application forms, if required. Applicants will be allowed to edit their personal profile and academic details before the deadline.

The university also published the revised seat matrix for its one-year postgraduate programmes, detailing the seat distribution across various courses for the 2026-27 academic session.

As per the revised matrix, several popular postgraduate programmes, including MA English, MA Political Science, MCom, MSc Computer Science and MSc Mathematics, have 49 seats in the unreserved (UR) category. In addition to these, seats have been earmarked under the Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer), Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories in accordance with the university's reservation policy.

The revised seat matrix also includes specialised programmes such as MSc Biomedical Sciences, MA Applied Psychology, MSc Environmental Science and MSc Food and Nutrition, along with their category-wise intake. DU clarified that the number of seats mentioned in the matrix is subject to change, if required.

Phase I and II registration ended on July 31, 11.59 pm. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on official website for latest update on admissions.
