These efforts to redraw the academic schedule were prompted by the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown enforced to control it.
A notification released by the Dean of Examinations said: “The schedule and detailed guidelines of all such examinations will be notified on the official website of the university in due course”. The decision will be made in adherence with the guidelines issued by Government of India/NCT of Delhi in relation with COVID-19 outbreak.
The notification also advised students to check the official website of the university for updates about the academic calendar and schedule of examinations. It added, “such information available only on the official website of the university should be considered final”.
The notification further said, “students registered with regular colleges, School of Open Learning and Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board are also advised to rely on their respective institute’s website, in addition to the university’s website for such updates”.
A report on higher education matters including academic sessions and examinations was supposed to be submitted on April 13 but was put off because there was a possibility of an extension of the lockdown. The committee formed by the University Grants Committee consists of seven members and is headed by R.C.Kuhad, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Haryana.
The university had earlier postponed all the theory and practical examinations until further notice, due to nationwide COVID 19 lockdown.
