NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi (DU) which is accepting application against its undergraduate programmes through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) will admit students on the basis of Common University Entrance Test UG (CUET UG) scores. DU started the CSAS phase 2 registration process today, July 17. The candidates who appeared for CUET UG 2023 entrance examination can apply online on the official website - admission.uod.ac.in
The Delhi University CSAS 2023 admission process is being held in three phases. Candidates can select any number of UG programmes they wish to take admission in. However, they have to confirm the specific programme on the basis of their CUET UG 2023 score.
DU Admission 2023: Calculation of programme-specific merit score
While announcing the DU UG admission and allocation schedule today, the university said, in the CSAS phase 2 registration, candidates will have to map the subjects studied by them in Class 12 to those in which they have appeared in CUET UG 2023.
Only those subjects will be considered in which the candidate has qualified Class 12th board exam. In case the subject studied in Class 12 was not a part of CUET, the subject similar or closer to the subject studied in Class 12 will be considered.
“It will be the sole responsibility of the candidate to provide correct subject-mapping,” DU added.
For admission, DU will consider subject-based "Normalised Score" provided by NTA for calculating the programme-group merit scores. The candidates will be able to see their program-specific CUET score on the basis of the normalized score for all the programmes in which they are eligible for. These program-specific CUET scores will be auto-calculated and displayed on the dashboard of the candidates, the university statement said.
