DU Admissions 2026: Nine more colleges offer UG seats based on Class 12 merit, not CUET

DU has announced Class 12 marks-based UG admissions in multiple colleges, covering courses in Hindi, Sanskrit, mathematics and sciences.

Download NowDelhi University (DU) has extended undergraduate admissions based on Class 12 marks to nine more colleges for the 2026-27 academic session, taking the total number of colleges offering such admissions to 35. The university had earlier allowed Class 12 merit-based admissions across 26 colleges. The admissions are being offered on the basis of Class 12 marks and do not require candidates to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).

Across the notices, DU has stated that admissions are subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria. Candidates have been advised to contact or check the websites of the respective colleges for detailed information.
The university has also reiterated that students who already have admission in a DU college cannot seek another admission through the Class 12 marks-based route.

DU Class 12 merit admission 2026
Earlier, DU had issued public notices on August 20 and August 21, announcing Class 12 marks-based UG admissions in several colleges. The notices included a range of programmes across arts, science and other disciplines, subject to the eligibility criteria set by the university.
In its August 20 notice, DU announced Class 12 marks-based admissions in 11 colleges, including

On August 21, DU added 15 more colleges to the Class 12 marks-based admission route. The notice included
