DU UG Admissions 2025: Over 3.05 lakh registrations received; BCom Honours most preferred

Delhi University will publish simulated ranks for UG admissions today based on choices submitted by July 14. Candidates can edit preferences till July 16. The first allocation list is scheduled to be released on July 19.

Download NowThe University of Delhi (DU) has received 3,05,357 registrations for undergraduate (UG) admissions through its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2025. Of these, 2,39,890 candidates have submitted their preferences, generating a total of 1,68,36,462 unique programme and college combinations. DU UG admissions are being conducted for 71,642 seats across 79 programmes offered in 69 colleges and university departments.

The University commenced the admission process on June 17, 2025, shortly after the CUET UG result 2025 was announced. In DU UG phase 2 of the CSAS, candidates were allowed to submit their programme and college preferences. As per the data shared by the institute, Sri Ram College of Commerce, Hindu College, Hansraj College, St Stephen’s, and Miranda House emerged as the most preferred colleges based on first-preference data.
Female candidates accounted for 53.06% of the total applications with 1,27,284 submissions, while 1,12,603 male candidates made up 46.93% of the total. Three transgender applicants also submitted their choices. A total of 512 candidates applied under the orphan quota and 7,243 under the single girl child quota. Among individual choices, one candidate submitted preferences for 1,414 out of the 1,549 possible programme-college combinations. On average, each applicant filled 83 preferences.
DU UG Counselling 2025: Simulated ranks out today
The University of Delhi will publish the simulated ranks for UG admissions through CSAS 2025 today, July 15. The ranks will be visible on candidates’ dashboards and are based on preferences submitted by July 14. The university has clarified that these ranks should not be treated as final or as a guarantee of admission to any course or college.
Following the release of simulated ranks, the preference-editing window will open again, allowing candidates to revise, reorder, add or delete their choices. This window will remain open till July 16. The first allocation list will be released on July 19.

The university will begin trials for admissions under the Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) quota on July 18, and the sports quota trials are likely to commence from July 25. Admissions under ECA, sports, performance-based programmes, and the Children/Widows (CW) of Armed Forces quota will begin from the third round of CSAS allocations.
