The government has recently taken steps to cut compliance costs by simplifying, eliminating, and decriminalizing a number of regulations. This forward-thinking move will have a revolutionary and multiplying effect on the ease of doing business. In line with the same spirit, AICTE has also re-engineered the system of approval by adopting the principle of light but tight regulations. Accordingly, grant of approval to technical institutes is based on self-disclosure of information by the institute. The technical education regulatory charges/processing fees are also being handled in digital mode only, said a statement from AICTE.
