NEW DELHI, AUGUST 24: Education New Zealand organized inaugural Academic Conclave bringing together researchers, experts and professors from across acclaimed India and New Zealand universities. The conclave promoted research collaboration between institutions, and canvassed ways to future-proof education systems for upcoming generations.

The Academic Conclave builds upon a range of initiatives that are pushing New Zealand to the fore as the preferred international education destination for students, with a 15% increase in Indian students choosing to study in New Zealand universities to June 2018.

“We are delighted that Indian students are future-proofing their careers by choosing to study in New Zealand, particularly given the recent introduction of a 3-year open post-study work visa for Bachelor’s, Masters and PhD Degree international students. This week’s Academic Conclave and Guest Lecture Series are one of many initiatives New Zealand is undertaking to build the education relationship with India, and we look forward to welcoming more quality Indian students to our world-class universities and institutes.” says John Laxon, Education New Zealand Regional Director, South, South East Asia and Middle East.
