Engineers’ Day 2021: PM Modi, other leaders wish citizens, pay homage to Visvesvaraya

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, minister of commerce and industry Piyush Goyal took to Twitter to wish Engineer’s day and paid their homage to Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.

NEW DELHI: Engineers’ Day is celebrated every year on the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. On this occasion, several leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, minister of commerce and industry Piyush Goyal wished Engineer’s day and paid their homage.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Greetings on #EngineersDay to all hardworking engineers. No words are enough to thank them for their pivotal role in making our planet better and technologically advanced. I pay homage to the remarkable Shri M. Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary and recall his accomplishments.”

Home minister Amit Shah said, “Tributes to Sir M Visvesvaraya Ji, a prolific engineer and an inspiration to people from all walks of life on his Jayanti.Engineers Day greetings to our brilliant engineers who are constantly striving towards the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat through their amazing innovations.”


Saying that the engineers’ contribution toward nation-building is exemplary, Piyush Goyal said, “Engineers combine effort with efficiency. Best wishes to all engineers on the #EngineersDay. I pay my tributes to great son of India & a world-renowned engineer, Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary.”

Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “On #EngineersDay, my humble tribute to India’s prolific engineer and a statesman, Bharat Ratna Dr. M. Visvesvaraya.”


Minister of Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju said, “Today is #EngineersDay , I pay my humble tribute to the Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya Ji on his birth anniversary. Our committed & talented engineers are giving immense contribution in our nation building and to make an #AatmanirbharBharat.”
