ESIC 2018 prelims exam begins in online mode for 599 vacancies

New Delhi, November 3: The prelims exam of ESIC 2018 has commenced for the recruitment of Senior Specialist Officers (SSO)/Manager Gr-II/Superintendent. The exam of ESIC 2018 is being conducted by Employees’ State Insurance Corporation of India in online mode for all those candidates who have applied for the available posts. Only those candidates have been permitted in the examination hall who have brought their ESIC admit card 2018 along with one of the prescribed photo ID proofs - Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card etc.
The exam will be conducted for the next one hour during which the candidates will be tested on their command over Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. ESIC 2018 prelims exam is being conducted for a total of 100 marks - 35 for both Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude and 30 for English Language. Candidates will be marked negatively with 1/4 marks for each wrong response they give.
The prelims exam of ESIC 2018 is being conducted to shortlist the candidates for the next round of the selection process. ESIC exam is held in three phases - Prelims, Mains, and Computer Skill Test & Descriptive Test. Candidates who will qualify the prelims becomes eligible to appear for the mains examination. The mains qualified candidates further need to appear for the Computer Skill Test and Descriptive Test. All those candidates who qualify the third phase of the selection process will be recruited as SSO/Manager Gr-II/Superintendent at Employees’ State Insurance Corporation of India.
ESIC 2018 is being conducted for 599 vacancies among which 294 vacancies are for general category candidates, 141 for OBC candidates, 82 and 22 vacancies are for SC and ST candidates respectively.
