FMGE 2025: Candidates can apply for eligibility certificates on nmc.org.in by September 30.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has invited applications from the candidates for the eligibility certificate for the next session of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) 2025. Aspirants can apply for the FMGE 2025 eligibility certificate from September 1 onwards on the official website, nmc.org.in.

The commission’s Ethics and Medical Registration Board said that it is mandatory for the candidates to possess the eligibility certificate to apply for the screening test. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will schedule the FMGE December 2025 in the coming months for Indian citizens, having a medical degree from a foreign institution, wanting to get the license to practice medicine in India.

NMC also informed that the applicants can make enquiries about status of the eligibility application at: eligibility.regn@nmc.org.in and eligibility@nmc.org.in. While making such enquiries, all the candidates are required to invariably provide their file tracking number generated while submitting the application for certificate. No response would be sent to the candidate in the absence of that number.

The commission further urged all the candidates to submit their application after doing due diligence and checking the requisite entries scrupulously before submitting the forms. Those who have already submitted applications for the eligibility certificate to NMC in the past need not apply again.
Recently, the NBE issued the FMGE June 2025 scorecards. The FMGE result 2025 was declared on August 13 wherein the pass rate slid to 18.61% as around 30,000 failed to qualify the exam.
The commission issued an advisory for candidates after observing that various mistakes are made by the candidates while applying for the Eligibility Certificate (EC). NMC suggested the following measures to avoid mistakes:
