NEW DELHI: The National Boards of Examinations (NBE) has released the notification of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE). The brochure with the FMGE 2021 application form for the June session will be released on April 16. Eligible candidates can complete FMGE registration till May 6, 2021. FMGE 2021 for the June session will be held on June 18 in computer-based mode.

FMGE is a screening test for Indian and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) to get a permanent or provisional registration certificate from the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council (SMC).

The NBE official notice reads, “Application form for FMGE June 2021 session can only be submitted online at nbe.edu.in from 16th April 2021 (3 pm onwards) to 6th May 2021 (till 11:55 pm).”

Who can apply for FMGE 2021 June session?
Only the eligible candidates can apply for the FMGE exam. Below are some of the basic eligibility criteria which must be fulfilled.

Only Indian citizens and OCI aspirants can register for FMGE 2021.

A candidate must possess primary medical qualification from the recognised institute and must be confirmed by the concerned Indian embassy of the country.

Applicants must submit the required documents as proof that they have qualified for the final primary medical examination on or before the specified date.

Aspirants who have completed their undergraduate and postgraduate from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United State of America are not required to appear for FMGE June screening test.
FMGE 2021 June session
FMGE exam contains 300 multiple choice questions based on the MBBS curriculum. The duration of the FMGE exam will be two hours thirty minutes. Candidates need to secure at least 150 marks out of 300 to pass the test.
