NEW DELHI: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) is set to be held on March 5, 2023. The Supreme Court will likely hear a plea seeking NEET PG 2023 postponement by two to three months on Friday, February 24. However, the union minister of health and family welfare (MoHFW) Mansukh Mandaviya earlier in February told the Lok Sabha that NEET PG 2023 will not be postponed as deferring it would further delay the exam and counselling process caused due to Covid-19.
Requesting students to study, Rohan Krishnan, FAIMA Chairman, said that he is sad that the ministry of health and family welfare has been very unsympathetic to the pleas on NEET exam postponement added: "Friday is the date of Hearing in SC as specified by Lawyer to Students. There’s no fresh update."

NEET PG 2023: Here’s a brief timeline of events
February 20, 2023: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) closed the NEET PG 2023 edit window for NEET PG application. Candidates were able to details at natboard.edu.in.
February 16, 2023: The students have filed a separate plea for NEET PG postponement in the Supreme Court.
February 10, 2023: Union minister of health and family welfare, Mansukh Mandaviya, told the Lok Sabha that NEET PG 2023 will not be postponed. The decision was taken to avoid further delay in the exam and counselling process caused due to COVID-19.
February 8, 2023: A group of aspirants has posted a petition on Change.org seeking the postponement of NEET PG exams . Over 16,000 candidates have signed the petition till the filing of this news. As per the text of the petition, NBE has released a notice stating that interns finishing their internship till August can also participate in the exam on 5th March, which obviously indicates counseling will not happen before August.
February 8, 2023: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) in a letter to Mansukh Mandaviya has asked the minister to postpone NEET PG by two to three months.
February 7, 2023: The union health ministry has extended the MBBS internship cut-off date to August 11 for NEET PG 2023. This has been the second time, the National Board of Examinations for Medical Sciences (NBSEMS) has extended the mandatory internship cut-off date. First, it was extended from March 31 to June 30, 2023.
February 7, 2023: A group of doctors held a protest at the Jantar Mantar Road demanding NEET PG postponement scheduled for early March. The protest was carried out under the banner of a body of doctors - Federation of All India Medical Association ( FAIMA ). Their placards read 'Postpone NEET PG'.
February 7, 2023: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has warned the medical aspirants against a fake public notice being circulated widely on the revised schedule of the NEET PG 2023 examination. The fake notice dated February 6 said that the NEET PG 2023 exam has been rescheduled to May 21, 2023.
January 27, 2023: The National Board Examination (NBE) closed the online NEET PG 2023 registration window.
