GAT-B, BET application process begins at dbt.nta.ac.in; NTA to hold exam on April 23

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule for Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) and GAT-Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET). The GAT-B and GAT-BET 2023 exam will be held on April 23, 2023, in two separate shifts. Candidates will be able to submit their GAT 2023 application form through the official website, dbt.nta.ac.in or nta.ac.in.
GAT-B and GAT-BET is conducted for admission to Department of Biotechnology supported postgraduate (PG) programme in Biotechnology and allied areas in participating Institutions (GAT-B) and for award of DBT – Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology (BET).
The GAT-B application form last date is March 31. The NTA will hold the GAT-B and GAT-BET exam for a duration of 3 hours. The first shift, starting from 9 AM to 12 PM, will be for GAT-B candidates and applicants who registered for GAT-BET will have to appear in the second shift, which will begin from 3 PM and conclude at 6 PM.
The exam will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode and the medium of question paper will be English. General category candidates, OBC-(NCL), EWS appearing for GAT will have to pay Rs 1,200 and SC, ST, PwD candidates will have to deposit Rs 600. In case an applicant wishes to appear for both GAT-B and GAT-BET, they will have to pay double the application fees.
