NEW DELHI, AUGUST 28: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will be releasing GATE 2019 application form on September 1, 2018, in online mode. Candidates will have to register through GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) for the national level postgraduate engineering entrance exam which will be conducted on February 2, 3, 9 & 10, 2019. Details like name, gender, academic qualification, contact number, email address and more will be required to submit during the registration process. Along with the filling the application form candidates will also need to pay the requisite fees. All the aspirants who are willing to appear for GATE 2019, will have to fill the application form by September 21, 2018.

In case any candidate is unable to submit the application form within the given deadline, he/she can fill the form by October 1, 2018, with the late fee of Rs. 500. Also, after the completion of application form, authorities will open the window for application correction where candidates can edit the details like gender, category, status etc.
Candidates must be aware that authorities hold the right to reject the application form of ineligible candidates. Therefore, aspirants who will be applying for GATE 2019 are advised to check and meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities before filling the application form.
Thinks to Keep Ready Before Filling Application Form
- Personal, academic and Communication address details (including PIN Code)
- Scanned images of signature and photograph in prescribed format and dimension
- For fee payment- details related to net banking/credit/debit card
- Caste Certificate in given format (if applicable)
- PwD Certificate (if applicable)
- Valid Photo Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card/Driving License/Passport/Voter ID/PAN Card/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit etc). Foreign students require Passport/Government Issued ID/College ID/Employee ID as identity proof.
- GATE paper (subject) and choice of exam cities
- Candidates pursuing a higher degree or masters will have to submit the qualifying degree certificate or provisional one.
- In case, if any Candidate has backlogs, he/she will have to upload the copy of any of the mark sheet of the final year issued by the institute.
- In case of candidates who are in final year, they will have to submit the copy of marksheet of the fifth or sixth or seventh semester as the case may be.
- While final year candidate will also have to submit their Provisional Certificate Letter as per format.
Steps Involved in GATE 2019 Application Process
Given below are the steps that candidates need to follow while filling the application form:
- Get registered through GOAPS.
- Fill the application form of GATE 2019 by entering all the requisite details.
- Upload scanned images of photograph and signature in prescribed dimension and format along with the other required documents.
- Pay the application fees in the preferred mode (net banking/debit card/credit card).
- Submit the application form.
