GATE 2021 Day 4 LIVE Updates - Paper Analysis, Answer Key, Marking Scheme, Cutoff

GATE score predictor is a specialised tool developed by Careers360 which helps candidates get an idea of their rank/score based on the marks they get in exam. It uses artificial intelligence techniques by combining previous year GATE score-marks statistics. 

IIT Bombay, the organising institute of GATE 2021 will release the answer key soon on the official website. The GATE 2021 official answer key will be released soon. However, many coaching institutes will release GATE 2021 answer key with solutions based on memory based questions from students who had appeared in the exam. GATE 2021 result date is March 22. GATE 2021 question paper will also be released by IIT Bombay on the official website along with GATE response sheets and GATE 2021 answer key. Students will be provided the time to challenge the provisional key within a specified time post which they the final GATE answer key 2021 will be released. 

IIT Bombay has successfully conducted the GATE 2021 exam. Today was the last day of GATE 2021 exam which started on February 6. GATE 2021 had a total of 27 papers. IIT Bombay, the organising institute of GATE 2021 paper will now release the candidates response sheets, GATE 2021 answer key and question papers in a week time online on the official website gate.iitb.ac.in. The GATE 2021 result will be announced on March 22.  

Qualifying GATE has many rewarding benefits other than M.Tech admission. Public sector undertakings (PSU) like GAIL, SAIL, Indian Oil, BHEL, ONGC recruit executives directly on the basis of GATE score. Also, students having qualified GATE score and who opts for higher education are provided stipend by Govt of India to carry out the academic activities. GATE score is also valid for a period of three years which means, once qualified, candidates can use it for job or admission in institutes up to 3 years.

Gas authority of India Limited (GAIL) will start the online application process for executive recruitment though GATE 2021 from February 15. The registration process for GAIL recruitment through GATE 2021 will be available online on the official website gailonline.com. Last date to apply is March 16. Candidates who secures a valid score in GATE 2021 in Chemical and Instrumentation disciplines can apply for the recruitment.

The response sheet of GATE 2021 will be released by IIT Bombay in online mode in a weeks time after the conclusion of exam. GATE 2021 response sheet will be available through GATE 2021 login on the GOAPS portal at appsgate.iitb.ac.in. GATE response sheet 2021 will be the system generated copy of students response made during the exam. Candidates can use the GATE 2021 response sheets and the answer key to calculate their score in exam before the announcement of result. 

IIT Bombay will release the GATE answer key 2021 for all the 27 subjects. GATE 2021 answer key date is not officially announced however students can expect it in a weeks time. The answer key will be available on the official website gate.iitb.ac.in. Students will be able to download the GATE answer key 2021 through login using their application number and password. IIT Bombay will also release GATE 2021 response sheet along with the answer key. Candidates will be able to calculate their score in the exam using GATE 2021 answer key and GATE 2021 response sheet. 

The second shift of GATE 2021 paper has begun from 3 PM and will conclude at 6 PM. The second shift GATE 2021 paper has Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering paper. Today is the last day of GATE 2021 exam which started on February 6. IIT Bombay will release the GATE 2021 response sheet and answer key of candidates along with the question papers in a weeks time on the official website. GATE 2021 result will be announced on March 22. 

Topic-wise GATE 2021 Mechanical Paper Analysis - Shift 1

The cut-off for Mechanical Shift-1 is expected to range between 33-34. The GTATE Mechanical Engineering exam is being conducted today in two slots; morning, which is from 9.30am to 12.30pm. And afternoon, which is from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. The GATE 2021 Exam analysis for Mechanical 2021 morning slot by Gradeup

•    The level of the exam was Moderate. Compared to last year, the paper was Difficult.    

•    There were 32 Numerical Ability Type questions which were a bit lengthy.    

•    Questions  from Manufacturing had high weightage while questions from Fluid Mechanics were easy.

•    There was no MSQ (Multiple select Questions) in this forenoon shift.

•    8-10 questions were theoretical and the rest were numerical based.

Section-wise analysis GATE 2021 ME Paper

GATE 2021 paper on February 14 had Mechanical (ME) and Humanities & Social Science paper (XH). The XH paper was the newly inducted paper in GATE 2021, analysis for which will be provided here as per the students feedback. The GATE 2021 ME paper analysis from students who appeared in shift 1 is that paper was moderate in difficulty level. Mathematics questions were mostly from Probability and Calculus.  There were no MSQ questions in GATE 2021 ME paper which came as a surprise to many students. There were many questions from Industrial engineering, TOM, SOM and Thermodynamics. GATE 2021 answer key for the paper will be released by coaching institutes based on memory based questions. 

The shift 1 of GATE 2021 Mechanical paper has been concluded. As per the students who appeared in the exam, most students found paper to be moderate while some also reported the paper to be easy. As per Abhijeet who appeared in the exam, the paper was good and aptitude part was very easy, manufacturing part saw many questions. The whole question paper was balanced, 50 % easy and 50% difficult. The paper was conceptual and not formula based. There were no MSQ questions. 

The paper was moderate in difficulty level as per the students who appeared in the exam. There were no MSQ questions asked in exam, 30 NAT questions and 35 MCQs. Questions were asked from Geometry and arrangements/patterns. Many questions were asked from industrial and Manufacturing engineering. Overall, the paper consisted of almost all the core topics including SOM, TOM, mechaics.

GATE 2021 Mechanical Paper has been concluded. As per the students who appeared in the exam, following is the GATE 2021 paper analysis for ME

• Manufacturing - 15 marks
• Thermodynamics – 12 marks
• industrial Engineering– 9 marks
• TOM – 9 Marks
• Heat Transfer- 6 Marks

There were no MSQ questions and 30 NAT questions 

The first shift of GATE 2021 paper February 14 has been concluded. The first shift had GATE 2021 mechanical engineering and Humanities & Social Science paper. The second shift will start from 3 PM to 6 PM and will have Metallurgical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering second paper.  Today is the last date of GATE 2021 paper. 

The first shift of GATE 2021 last day paper will conclude at 12:30 PM. GATE 2021 Mechanical and Humanities & Social Science paper is scheduled in the first shift. As per the GATE exam 2021 second shift, paper will begin from 3 PM to 6 PM and will have Metallurgical Engineering and second session of Mechanical engineering. Entry for the second shift will start at 2 PM. 

IIT Bombay will release GATE 2021 answer key online on the official website gate.iitb.ac.in in a week time after the conclusion of exam. GATE 2021 question paper and GATE response sheet 2021 will also be released by IIT Bombay along with the answer key. Firstly, the provisional answer key will be released which will also be open for challenge up to a certain specified period and then the final GATE 2021 answer key will be released. Candidates can use the answer key and response sheets to calculate their score before the announcement of GATE 2021 result. 

IIT Bombay will be releasing the GATE 2021 result on March 22. The official GATE 2021 result date was announced by IIT Bombay on the website. The result will be available online on the official website gate.iitb.ac.in and students will have to use GATE 2021 login at GOAPS to check their results. However, before the announcement of result GATE 2021 answer key and GATE 2021 question papers along with the GATE response sheet 2021 will be released by IIT Bombay on the website.

GATE CS 2021 exam was conducted on February 13 in two shifts. As per the candidates who appeared in the exam, GATE 2021 CSE paper was moderate to difficult and questions were asked from almost all the topics of syllabus. Many institutes have release memory based GATE 2021 question paper and GATE CSE 2021 answer key on the basis of memory based questions. The official GATE 2021 CSE paper will be released by IIT Bombay along with response sheets and answer key to make students evaluate their score in the exam. 

The final day of exam has GATE 2021 mechanical paper along with Humanities and Social Science and Metallurgical Engineering. GATE Mechanical engineering paper witnesses the highest number of aspirants beside computer science, civil engineering, electronics and electrical engineering. GATE 2021 paper has a total of 27 subjects of which 24 subject papers have been conducted on February 6, 7, 13 and the remaining are scheduled today. GATE CSE 2021 paper was conducted in two shifts on February 13.

IIT Bombay will release GATE response sheet along with the provisional answer key after the conclusion of exam. GATE response sheet 2021 date is not officially announced but candidates can expect it in a weeks time after the exam. GATE Response sheet will be the system recorded copy of candidates response which can be used to calculate the score with the help of answer key. Candidates have to follow the official marking scheme and GATE 2021 negative marking to arrive at the score.  

The final day of GATE 2021 exam is scheduled today at around 200 exam cities across the country. As per GATE 2021 exam date and time, there will be two papers of GATE ME in morning and afternoon sessions, GATE XH in morning and GATE MT in afternoon session.  Candidates appearing for the exam have to make sure they have GATE 2021 admit card download to appear in the exam. Candidates also need to follow the advisory and exam day guidelines at the centre. 

The GATE 2021 exam has provision of negative marking in case of wrong attempt. In MCQs carrying 1 marks each, 1/3 marks will be deducted as a penalty of marking the incorrect response and in MCQs carrying 2 marks, 2/3 marks will be deducted for marking the incorrect response. In NAT questions, there is no provision of negative marking.

The last day of GATE 2021 exam today will have Mechanical Engineering (ME), Metallurgical Engineering (MT) and newly inducted Humanities & Social Science (XH) papers. GATE ME will be conducted in both morning and afternoon shifts while GATE XH will be in morning and GATE MT in afternoon session.

GATE 2021 Mechanical Engineering 

GATE ME 2021 exam date is February 14. The exam will be held in two shifts from 9.30 to 12.30 pm and 3 to 6 pm. Candidates should keep their GATE 2021 admit card required documents ready.

GATE CSE 2021 exam analysis for Computer Science Slot 2 by Gradeup

• No great changes were found in this paper compared to Last Year. Most of the Questions were Conceptual Based Questions.
• For the first-time question is asked on Dynamic Hashing.
• Quantitative Aptitude - Three viral ability questions, three reasoning, and four questions from quantitative. All 10 questions are MCQ.
• Overall the Difficulty Level of the Paper was found to be Medium.

GATE 2021- Approximately 9 lakh candidates appeared this year

Is there negative marking in GATE 2021?

Yes, there is a negative marking in GATE 2021. But no marks will be deducted for wrong NATs or MSQs. 

For incorrect answers:

GATE 2021- Day 3 Shift 1 to Start at 9.30

IIT Bombay GATE 2021 shift 1 of February 13 will start at 9.30 am. Candidates must have their GATE hall ticket 2021 to get entry inside the exam hall.
