NEW DELHI:
Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has successfully conducted the GATE 2022 exam for the majority of the subjects on February 5 and 6. The examination for the remaining subjects will be conducted on February 12 and 13. The GATE 2022 exam will be conducted in two sessions. The forenoon session will begin at 9:00 a.m and ends at 12:00 noon. The afternoon session will begin at 2:30 p.m and ends at 5:30 p.m.

This year, IIT Kharagpur has announced that the examination will be conducted for 29 papers. Naval architecture & marine engineering and geomatics engineering will be new additions. Along with that, civil engineering and mechanical engineering papers will be conducted in two sessions.

GATE 2022: Exam day guidelines

Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre at least an hour before the scheduled time.

If any candidate is found to be having a body temperature of more than 99.4 degrees Fahrenheit, he/she would be sent to an isolated area within the examination premises.

Candidates are allowed to carry only the GATE 2022 admit card , mask, transparent water bottle, hand sanitiser, pen and valid identity proof inside the exam centre.

Candidates have to submit the scribble paper for rough work inside the exam centre, once the exam is over.
